Q: What type of coach is this program designed for?
A: All ACA course material is designed to meet the needs of youth and high school coaches of all competitive levels, and is appropriate for both male and female teams.
Our students come from a variety of sports backgrounds, including basketball, football, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, track and field, wrestling, lacrosse, swimming, tennis and cheerleading.
ACA courses are open to coaches in all countries (including Canada, Australia, the UK and others). You do not have to be a resident of the United States to enroll.
Q: Why do I need to get certified?
A: Sports organizations across the country are now requiring coaches to receive training in the fundamentals of coaching. You will discover how to work with parents, create a positive learning environment, keep your athletes safe and healthy, and help them excel in sports and skill development.
Even if your organization does not require certification, the education you will receive will boost your credibility, increase your confidence in your knowledge and abilities, and give you a valuable, nationally recognized credential that proves your commitment to your coaching role.
ACA courses are unique because your entire certification program is completed online. There are no thick textbooks to read or dull seminars to travel to. You complete everything on your own schedule and at your own pace.

Q: How long does the program take to complete?
A: Each course is designed to take approximately one hour to complete from start to finish. The Level 1 certification program includes three courses. Level 2 includes two additional courses. And Level 3 includes three additional courses.
Q: Is there any special computer program or software required?
A: You can complete the course online using any computer. No special software, computer programs, or anything else is required. All you need is Internet access.
Q: Do I have to take an exam in order to receive my certification?
A: At the end of each course, you will be asked to complete a 20 question multiple choice style exam. You need to achieve a 75% or better on this exam in order to receive your certificate.
Q: Will I receive proof of my certification?
A: Yes. After taking the online course you will be able to print out your completion certificate directly from your computer screen.
